Unai Emery’s Arsenal travelled to Leicester in the Premier League for the Saturday’s late kick-off.

The first half was played at a high tempo in driving rain, with good attacking play at both ends. Alex Lacazette curled a shot just wide of the upright, while Perez and Maddison each hit efforts over the bar at the other end. In a tight game of few good chances, the first goal would always be key, and it went to the hosts halfway through the second half. Vardy got on the end of a Tielemans pass to put Leicester ahead in the 68th minute. And seven minutes later Maddison scored the second with an excellent strike into the bottom corner. Leicester ran out 2-0 winners.

Arsenal’s next fixture is after the international break at home against Southampton.
