Arsenal’s tour of the USA continued with an International Champions Cup match against Fiorentina at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The game began at relatively high tempo with Arsenal looking to control possession and Fiorentina looking dangerous on the break. In fact, Martinez was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the opening minutes. Nketiah grabbed the first goal of the game in the 15th minute. Kolasinac made a strong run down the left wing and his cross found the young striker, who jinked away from his marker and finished calmly. The second half saw both teams making various changes as the heat and humidity began to take its toll on the players. Nketiah got his second of the night in the 66th minute after being set up by Lacazette. Willock made it three right at the end with an emphatic finish after being sent through by Lacazette.

Unai Emery’s squad now head for Washington DC, the last stop on the USA tour, where they will face Real Madrid.
