I am Basque, I come from a town that is almost 1000 kilometers from Seville, but since I arrived in mid-January 2013, I have felt which is to be at home. It is a city that has given me a lot and every day I try to give back what it gives me. And I do it through the football, through Sevilla FC which every morning I thank for the opportunity it gave me to train here. A gratitude that I extend to José Maria Del Nido, his son Junior, Monchi, Jose Castro, as well as all professionals and of course to Sevilla fans.
Today it is an honor and a privilege to receive and share with the rest of the winners The Solidarity City of Seville award granted by the Festival of Nations. This award has to do with Sevilla FC, as I said, together we stroll the city flag, its smell, its color and its people in recent years in Europe. And it is a privilege to live closely what this means. The next November 3rd I reach 40 games managing Sevilla in Europe… and want to continue achieving and returning what this city gives me.
Therefore, we have a hope and a commitment that goes beyond the field, the result of the match. We are Sevilla.
